Your first step how to speed up torrent downloads is to ensure you can actually be connected to from other peers. The latest version of uTorrent is able to test this for you, so launch the Setup Guide from the Options menu. If you have an older uTorrent, you can test specific ports using this tool.
If you set your torrent client to severely restrict the amount of uploading it can do, and basically just leech the files, most private trackers will restrict the amount you can download too. Make sure you are fully able and willing to give back to the community.
Changed Torrent Download [Patch]
You are no longer prompted to choose a helper application or save to disk before downloading a file, unless you have changed your setting for that type of file, for Firefox to always ask what action to take:
I am downloading some TV Series using uTorrent .But I want to download on the basis of the episode ( File name ) sequentially .So I want the 4th episode to start downloading only after the first three are finished .Currently I am changing the file priority for 2/3 torrents to high and all others are skipped . Thanks in advance
Attempts to download the selected torrents in sequential order. Torrent pieces are usually downloaded in an optimal order which maximizes speed and benefits to the swarm health. Downloading in sequential order is useful for preview files. However, this feature is against Bittorrent protocol recommendations due to its negative effect on the swarm. It is thus discouraged to use this feature. A more detailed explanation of why this feature is bad is available here
See uTorrent settings with opened parameters bt.sequential_download (use this for sequential download one movie) and bt.sequential_files (use this for sequential download TVseries from in that sequence as specified in torrent file).
qbitorrent has 2 options that allows you to download your file in sequentially order (from the beginning to the end so it allows you to watch it instantly with VLC media player)download first and last part preferentially so you can easily preview the file
As far as I know there is no way to control what files of a torrent are downloaded first due to the very nature of a Torrent. If it were possible to do so then I would imagine Torrents would lose their viability for a method of downloading files quickly (again, due to the nature in which torrents are executed).
This used to be an advanced option in uTorrent you could set for all torrents, but now the only way to do it is if you click on the torrent, go to the files tab below the torrent list, rick click the video, Copy Stream URL, open that up with a video player such as VLC and then it will set that file to download sequentially. After that, you can either leave the video running closing the player should keep it downloading sequentially afterward.
One possible reason for the "System cannot find the path specified" problem is a dot or space in the download path. Sometimes uTorrent changes the download path of torrents by adding a dot or space at the beginning or the end, which makes the path unreadable (and why the client reports that the system cannot find the path).
Then, find "Attributes" and ensure that the "Read-only" attribute is unchecked. Click "Apply" to save the changes and start downloading your torrent again to see if this fixes the "System cannot find the path specified" error.
To fix the problem with the file path, ensure that the download location and associated attributes contain less than 256 characters. For example, the filename, drive letter, directory name where the files are located, and torrent filename.
This solution involves deleting the torrent file and all other files associated with it. This error can sometimes be caused by incorrectly-downloaded torrent files. Delete all files: the torrent file itself, the partly-downloaded file, and the torrent file registry from the uTorrent client itself.
This can usually be done by right-clicking the problematic torrent file and selecting "Remove And", and "Delete .torrent + Data". Then, try to download the torrent file again and add it to uTorrent. Start the download again and see if this fixes the "System cannot find the path specified" error. This simple solution often fixes the problem.
To change the download path manually, open the uTorrent client and right-click the torrent that gives the "System cannot find the path specified" error. Select "Advanced" and then "Set Download Location...".
NOTE: We have released a patch for this release that addresses feedback and issues experienced with this release. After installing the release, please download / install the patch as well (the link is at the bottom of these instructions).
The patch size for the update will be around 4-5GB on the standalone client and 4-5GB on Steam. We've also made a torrent available for this update which is around 31GB. Please keep in mind that this method, while available earlier, makes it a larger update as it includes all the existing client content. When patching begins for Path of Exile: The Forbidden Sanctum you'll also have a few remaining files that you'll need to update as well.
This torrent only includes the GGPK file, so you'll need to copy it into your actual install folder once the patching server is up, no earlier than three hours before Path of Exile: The Forbidden Sanctum launches. Please note that you can't use this GGPK file with the Steam client and macOS.

Torrenting is the process of uploading or downloading the components that make up a torrent file from several peers or computers. The shared nature of torrenting makes the process faster than uploading or downloading a large file onto a central server. Why?
BitTorrent is a P2P sharing protocol, meaning all torrent clients use it to enable uploading, sharing, and downloading torrent files. It was designed by Bram Cohen in April 2001. He also used it as the name of the first torrent client made publicly available on 2 July 2001.
The short answer is no. The act of sharing files via torrent sites is not illegal in itself. It only becomes illegal when a user uploads or downloads copyrighted material through a torrent client or website.
Similarly, when a torrent user requests a specific file, the torrent tracker connects him or her to the appropriate peer machine. Once the P2P download has started, the connection to the tracker is no longer necessary.
A seedbox is a dedicated server found in a high-speed datacenter. It has a public IP address so anyone can download and seed torrent files on their computers anytime and from anywhere so long as they are connected to the Internet.
There are two types of tracker sites. One is a public tracker site, accessible to all users. The other is a private tracker site, which contains specialized torrent websites that host unique niches of files. Registration to a private tracker site is often exclusive and by invite only. It also requires users to seed torrents after each download.
Unlawful torrenting generally refers to sharing and downloading copyrighted materials, including music, movie, and TV series files. The repercussions of getting caught depend on the laws that cover you or the country where you performed the act.
Virtual private networks (VPNs) hide your IP address from sites that want to track you. They also conceal your entire online activities from your Internet service provider (ISP). Using a VPN to download files from a torrent site can help you stay anonymous online, keeping you safe from cyber attackers.
Hi,this topic has asked, after new brave update the torrent files are not downloading in %temp%\webtorrent (when i download from muon it stores in this path)where else it is downloading, no clue ? (new brave )
This is a video tutorial that is teaching its audience how to install a game that has been downloaded from a torrent file. The first thing that you do is open the file containing a folder. Right click on the file to do this. The next thing that you do is to make a new folder and rename it whatever you would like, then open up WinRar. Next you should extract the ISO file to the folder that you made. Next mount the ISO file by using Deamon tools. Finally you should burn the ISO file to a CD or a DVD using the appropriate software, the author of the video suggests using Netro.
I've just downloaded my first torrent. I dunno what I've got. It's a whole list of little files, z00,z01,z02 and so on. I've gotten as far as realising that 'z' means 'zip'. But you can't associate them all at once with WinZip, you've gotta do each little file individually, which I am. Thing Is, I'm not extracting one iso as far as I can see, I'm extracting lots of BITS of an iso. 2ff7e9595c
